Privacy policy

Effective November 7, 2026

TeeSlugger publishes the TeeSlugger app for iOS and Android and operates teeslugger.com. The app connects to a TeeSlugger hitting trainer over Bluetooth and shows swing results on the phone. This policy describes what that app and this website handle.

Accounts

The app has no sign-in. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or payment information.

On your phone

The app keeps a small amount of information on the device itself:

Uninstalling the app removes the remembered device and the session from the phone.

On the TeeSlugger device

Settings such as sport, mode, device name, player age, field distances, and sound options are stored on the TeeSlugger unit. The age setting chooses a field and strike-zone preset. It stays on the unit and is not sent to teeslugger.com.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth to find and talk to your TeeSlugger. It does not scan in the background. On Android 12 and later, scanning uses the Bluetooth permission only. On Android 10 and 11, the operating system requires a location permission before an app may scan for Bluetooth devices. TeeSlugger requests that permission for the scan. It does not read GPS coordinates, and it does not store or transmit a location.

teeslugger.com

When a TeeSlugger is connected, the app asks teeslugger.com whether a newer firmware version is available and, if you install it, downloads that firmware. The request includes the device identifier reported by the unit. It does not include your name, the player age, or swing results.

The website server keeps ordinary connection logs, such as IP address, date, and the address requested, to operate and protect the site. To ask us to delete logs associated with your use, email support@teeslugger.com.

App updates

The production app can check for a JavaScript update from Expo, the service that hosts those updates. That check sends the platform, the app runtime version, and the update channel. It does not send your name, swing results, or the TeeSlugger device identifier. Expo’s own policy is at expo.dev/privacy.

What we do with this information

We use it to connect the phone to your TeeSlugger, deliver firmware, and deliver app updates. We do not sell personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Children

TeeSlugger is a batting trainer used by young players, with a parent, coach, or player operating the phone. The app does not create an account for a child and does not ask for a child’s name or contact information. The player-age preset is stored on the TeeSlugger unit, as described above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
